Annona
Annona is a genus of flowering plants in the family Annonaceae. It includes custard apples, sugar apples, soursops, cherimoyas, and numerous wild species from tropical and subtropical America and Africa.

The genus includes cultivated fruit trees such as Annona cherimola, A. squamosa, A. muricata, and A. × atemoya. Wild species should not automatically be given the soil, hardiness, or fruit-quality requirements of those cultivated relatives.
