The Italian cultivars ‘Marrone di Castel del Rio’ and ‘Garrone Rosso’ were both included in a controlled in-vitro propagation study. The practical distinction demonstrated there is propagation response: the two genotypes differed in sterilization, establishment and rooting treatments, so a laboratory protocol may need cultivar-specific adjustment.<sup>[[#cite_note-5|[5]]]</sup> The study does not provide a field comparison of their harvest season, nut quality, disease resistance, rootstock behavior or climate adaptation; those attributes should not be inferred from the tissue-culture results.
