== Propagation == As genus-level ''Passiflora'' guidance, fresh seed may be sown with the pulp still present. For stored seed, the account recommends a warm-water soak of about 24 hours and notes that germination can be delayed for up to 12 months. A shaded seed tray around 19β24 Β°C is the reported starting environment; seedlings can be moved into individual pots as they develop. These timings and steps are reported general guidance, not a controlled ''P. mayarum'' propagation trial. [[#cite_note-2|[2]]] Young-shoot cuttings can be taken at nodes and started in a suitable cutting medium. Mature-wood cuttings may take about three months to root. Layering and air-layering are also listed for ''Passiflora''. These are genus-level starting methods; rooting time and success for ''P. mayarum'' remain unverified. [[#cite_note-2|[2]]]
