== Propagation == Seed is the documented propagation route. Sow at about 1.5 cm deep in warm conditions; RHS gives 18β21 Β°C as its germination guidance. In temperate production, seed can be started indoors four to six weeks before the last frost, then plants can be acclimated before planting outdoors after frost. <sup>[[#cite_note-2|[2]]]</sup> <sup>[[#cite_note-3|[3]]]</sup> Grafted melon plants are also used in some production systems.
