== Propagation == Trumpet tree is propagated from seed. The silvicultural treatment supplied for this species gives approximately 2,500 air-dried seeds per gram and states that full sunlight is required for successful germination in its described nursery method. It uses a seedbed made from equal amounts of clay, sand, and filter presscake, with germination reported as high as 90% under full-light conditions. Treat that percentage as condition-specific rather than as a guaranteed result for every seed lot.[[#cite_note-2|[2]]] Sow fresh, correctly identified seed in a medium that can hold moisture without losing aeration, and provide the strong light specified by the silvicultural method. The packet does not establish a reliable species-wide seed-storage period, transplant schedule, grafting method, or bearing age, so those practices should not be presented as fixed requirements.[[#cite_note-2|[2]]]
