The native records describe a plant that remains evergreen while passing through a seasonal flowering and fruiting cycle. Flowering is given as July–November in the SANBI account and August–November in the Tree SA account. Fruit development is given as February–May in the former and October–February or later in the latter. These differences are best treated as local or observational variation rather than a fixed calendar.
