== Description == ''Arbutus unedo'' is an evergreen tree described at about 9 m in height, with a rounded habit. Its red fruit is approximately 15 mm across. Flowers and ripening fruit can occur together, so a mature plant may carry more than one visible stage at the same time. [[#cite_note-4|[4]]] [[File:(MHNT) Arbutus unedo Juvenile.jpg|260px|Two-year-old Arbutus unedo plant.]] A two-year-old plant is a useful visual reference for the juvenile habit, but size and branching depend on container history, climate, and pruning. The species is evergreen rather than a seasonal dieback plant.
